For the record, I hate fish. I really really do. But I just had to check out "Hooray for Fish!" by Lucy Cousins. Her memorable art style makes these fishies some of the cutest I have ever seen.
Little Fish introduces us to his fishy friends in kid-friendly rhymes. Some have surprisingly silly names or markings. There's even a set of twins!
My twins love saying the word "fish" and imitating the fish kisses at the end. I love the bright colors and Little Fish's friendly personality. I'm almost ready to join in the cheer: "Hooray for Fish!"
